The Design Living & Learning Community is sponsored by the College of Architecture + Design. The Design LLC provides a community of support for students majoring in Architecture and Interior Architecture or Graphic Design. Programming events include opportunities for you to engage with the larger design community through networking, group activities and unique experiences. The Design LLC fosters an environment that encourages and expands the first-year experience for design students.

The Design LLC will be located in Stokely Hall for 2024-2025.  All LLC locations are subject to change.

Community Requirements

Design LLC students must be admitted to the College of Architecture and Design majoring in Architecture, Interior Design, or Graphic Design Foundations. As a Design LLC participant, students will have opportunities to engage in specialized programming intended to enhance the first-year experience by introducing students to the tools and resources available to “survive and thrive” in design school.

This living & learning opportunity is for those who would like to engage and collaborate with Design students from all three schools through making, supportive collaboration, group engagement, and leadership skill building. We are looking for students who are excited to commit to building a supportive network of peers with aspirations of evolving into College of Architecture and Design Peer Mentors and/or Ambassadors as they progress through their programs. Design LLC students are expected to exhibit conduct becoming a student in a professional college.
