University Housing has been notified by Facilities Services of a power outage necessary to install high voltage cable for the new campus dining facility. This outage will take place beginning at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, and continue until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 27.

Hit the Books
Looking to log some study hours? There are options available to you in the Student Union, Hodges Library, and outdoor study spaces.
- The Student Union will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- Hodges Library will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Check out the campus map to find hammocks, tents with wifi, and more.
Tennessee vs. Auburn Watch Party
You are invited to watch the Tennessee vs. Auburn men’s basketball game at 12 p.m. in the Student Union Auditorium on a 40-foot screen! Socially distant seating limited to the first 155 students.
Hosted by the Student Union and the Rocky Top Rowdies.
RecSports Outdoor Spaces are open!
Even though TRECS and the aquatic center will be temporarily closed due to the outage, the field by TRECS will be open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. and the Sand Volleyball court will be open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Phoenix Art Exhibit
The Phoenix Literary Arts Magazine was founded in 1959. The magazine has a long history of displaying the current cultural trends of campus life at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. The student-edited literary magazine encourages and maintains a rising level of literacy and artistic creativity at the university.
The Student Union Gallery is hosting a special Phoenix Literary Arts Magazine “Walk Through Magazine” exhibit from February 15 to March 15, 2021, from 8:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Things to do in Knoxville:
Knoxville Museum of Art
The Knoxville Museum of Art is free, within walking distance of campus, and is open to students from 1 p.m to 5 p.m. Reservations are required and available in one-hour time slots.
Ijams Nature Center
Located just three miles from campus, Ijams Nature Center has some of the most beautiful hiking trails in Knoxville. Hiking trails are free.
Orange Line Trolley
The Orange Line Trolly is free, open to anyone to ride, and there are multiple pick-ups through campus. Grab a ride downtown and check out local shops and restaurants.
