The university offers two housing options for students. This allows students to select the type of facility in which he or she will live, within the university’s capability to offer such living arrangements. Students are encouraged to give considerable thought and attention to their housing selection. The differentiated housing program offers two distinct types of living atmospheres.
Group C – Fred D. Brown Jr., North and South Carrick, Clement, Dogwood, Hess, Magnolia, Massey, Orange, Reese, Stokely, and White Halls:
Residence hall units with programming, regulations, and supervision; minimally supervised open houses restricted to a maximum of seven per week of no more than fourteen hours duration each; staff responsibility focuses on assisting residents with problems and orientation to university living. Visitation hours are Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m., and beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Friday visitation runs continuously until 1:00 a.m. Sunday night/Monday morning. All guests must be escorted at all times.
Group E – Laurel and Volunteer Halls, Vol Condos, and Off-Campus Master Lease locations
Apartments with minimal regulations, and supervision; and twenty-four hours visitation. All guests must be escorted at all times.
