This community is open to first-year students who are eligible for the UT LEAD program. The UT LEAD program is built on the principles of Leadership, Excellence, Achievement and Diversity and caters to first-generation college students as well as other criteria. By participating in the UT LEAD Living and Learning community, you will engage with a comprehensive support program that features your own academic coach, first- year seminar and academic success workshops, tutoring/learning assistance, and many other excellent resources and programs available to UT students. You also have an opportunity to receive supplemental aid in the form of scholarships within the UT LEAD program.
This community provides you the unique opportunity to take courses and study with your peers, network with campus professionals, and gain the confidence that goes along with utilizing all the resources UT has to offer.
Students who participate in UT LEAD will be co-enrolled in community specific courses and are required to register and attend the below courses:
First Year Studies 101- UT LEAD
You will also be required to attend academic coaching sessions, academic success workshops, and to utilize the resources provided to promote your success at the university.
