The mission of the Pre-Medicine Living & Learning Community (LLC) is to create a supportive living and learning environment in a residence hall for first-year students who have career aspirations of attending medical school. Additionally, the goal of the Pre-Medicine LLC is to establish a support network within the university and the community to improve student success in the classroom, while simultaneously developing competitive candidates for admission to health professional schools.
As a member of this LLC, you will have the opportunity to connect with health professions advisors, upper-division, pre-health students, faculty in the science disciplines, and health professionals. You will learn about university resources and have access to programs, activities, and support initiatives such as peer mentoring, tutoring, panel discussions, speakers, and social events with other pre-med students in the community.
The Pre-Medicine LLC is located in Magnolia Hall for the 2019-2020 academic year. Please note that hall locations are subject to change.
The Pre-Medicine LLC is open to any first- year student within the College of Arts and Sciences whose career aspirations include medical school. The activities and events scheduled for the LLC participants will be focused on this theme.
