Honors Global Awareness

The mission of the Honors Global Awareness (HGA)
Living and Learning Community is to develop a
community of scholars devoted to studying different
environments, peoples, and cultures. By exposing
students to different ways of life, the HGA LLC helps
students better understand the world and their place
within it.

Community Requirements

This community will be open to sophomores, juniors and seniors in good
standing of the Honors & Scholars Program who commit to living in the
LLC for a full academic year. Priority will be given to second-year students.
HGA students must pursue a global or cross-cultural emphasis within the
honors courses they take while in the LLC. In this way the HGA LLC will not
have a uniform class requirement but will allow students to meet the CHP
course requirements while staying true to their individual course of study.
They will be required to attend at least two LLC academic-programming
events per semester.
