Access

The Access Living & Learning Community (LLC), offers second-year students an opportunity for a residential experience that will intentionally focus upon career development and personal development through academic enrichment and expanding cultural awareness of the East Tennessee region.

By participating in this community, you will complete and earn a Personal and Professional Development Certificate through the Center for Career Development. Access refers to the advantage of structured, supportive, and specially planned opportunities afforded to you living in this LLC. Personal reflection following career and personal development opportunities will support you as you develop your goals and action steps necessary to achieve them.

Your participation in this LLC will a) increase your knowledge of your unique interests, skills and values,  b) help you to develop academic and professional goals congruent with your interests, skills and values, and c) expand your knowledge of local and regional culture while connecting with other second-year students in the LLC through meaningful relationships.

The Access LLC is located in Volunteer Hall for the 2018-2019 academic year.

Community Requirements

The Access LLC seeks second-year students who are committed to developing a positive community with other second-year students and in making the most of their next year at the University of Tennessee. While living in the Access LLC, you will be expected to complete the Access: Personal and Professional Development Certificate, offered through the Center for Career Development. While no courses are required, a menu of activities, exercises, events, and one-on-one sessions focused on the academic enrichment and career development will be required to complete the certificate.
