Apartment Style Halls

Apartment-style residence halls are open primarily to undergraduate students who have completed more than 30 course credits (post high school graduation), but is also available to graduate students.  Apartment-style residence halls feature several living options including a single or double bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom and, in some cases, a study area or a washer and dryer.

Apartment Residence Hall

2117 Andy Holt Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37916

Apartment Residence Hall is the largest hall on campus, housing 907 upper-division and graduate students. Fifteen stories high, the Apartment Residence Hall was commonly referred to as Rose Avenue Apartments. When Rose Avenue was renamed Andy Holt Avenue, the residence hall became known as Andy Holt Apartments, or just Andy Holt.

Volunteer Residence Hall

1525 White Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37916
Volunteer Hall offers 2, 3, and 4 bedroom apartments, which are conveniently equipped with full kitchens and are fully furnished. Volunteer Hall houses men and women, sophomores through graduate students. Rental fees include furniture, cable, high-speed Internet, water, and electricity. Volunteer Hall is located on White Avenue across the street from the College of Law, which makes it extremely convenient to class. There is garage parking below the building.

Also the Southern Kitchen is the residential restaurant adjacent to Volunteer hall, featuring delicious southern cooked meals that students love.

This residence hall is available to upper-division students only.


Laurel Residence Hall

1615 Laurel Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37916

Laurel Hall is located north of the main campus. Large lobbies on each floor are conducive to meeting friends or hosting large gatherings. Rental rates at Laurel include: water, electricity, cable TV, and data connectivity. This residence hall is only assigned to upper-division students.
