Crescendo

The Crescendo Living & Learning Community provides a unique opportunity for music majors and minors to reside on a designated residence hall floor with other music students. All music degree programs have a common first-year core, including music theory, ear training, musicology, lessons, solo class, and ensembles.

The opportunity to live with other music students makes it easy for you to form study groups, help each other with assignments and projects, and walk to and from concerts and events together. There will be a study room on the floor and a tutor available to help you with your academic music classes (i.e., music theory, ear training, and musicology).

The Crescendo LLC will be located in Fred Brown Hall for 2024-2025. All LLC locations are subject to change.

Community Requirements

The Crescendo LLC is open to first-year students who have been admitted to the College of Music and are pursuing a major or minor in music. In the fall semester, you will be required to sign up for a one-credit hour class specifically designed for Crescendo LLC students.
